To celebrate the publication of our two new books (Musikk og bevegelse and Musical Gestures – Sound, Movement and Meaning), Department of Musicology and MIC host a seminar with the title Musikk og bevegelse (Music and Movement). There will be short introductions to the books, followed by commentaries by Gunn Engelsrud, Kari Anne Vadstensvik Bjerkestrand, Kari-Anne Bjerkestrand and Even Ruud.

As an example of music and movement, Victoria Johnson and myself will play an excerpt from a piece we are working on for Victoria’s fellowship concert, involving video based movement analysis.
